Hi Charlotte,

Thank you. Glad you read it. I appreciate the feedback. Poetry is always lovely as a bit of self indulgence in the night hours and maybe a way of sending blessings, especially at this time. Changes always seem to be good in the long run.

Thank you! I love reading poetry and admire people who can write it. It’s not my forte. But I love to read it and you are talented at your work. Have a blessed day!💖🤗

Charlotte I was so interested when you said your husband was Cherokee and you spoke of the Trail of Tears to Oklahoma. When I was living in Florida at the time of Hurricane Andrew, we were friends with the Miccosukees and knew the Medicine people there who grew plants to control diabetes. After the hurricane the whole area was sprayed with pesticides that destroyed the plants for human consumption bringing hardship to the population and destroying 60 per cent of the bird life. Their medicine songs were also about the Trail of Tears of their ancestors that prevented the Miccosukees from accepting any second hand clothing after Andrew because of the clothing given out during that earlier tine from smallpox victims that blinded and killed many.

Jonathan, Yes I wrote it some time ago and recited it at an OBOD gathering in Glastonbury. It was part of a collection of poems called Love Unbound, no longer in print but may bring them back by popular request. I don’t even have one copy of the book left and had to find it on my pdf files. Dwina x
