Thank you Silenos. I enjoy writing plays and dialogues... many of them based on funny conversations and snatches of intelligence I heard as a child in Ireland.

Shades of Alan Bennett

Loved this! I read it it silently with my best attempt of an Irish accent 😊 I work in a senior home for elderly at different level of needs..they will love this. If that is okay I share it with them.

I laughed at this while having my coffee this morning! Coming from a small town, I can relate to the back and forth banter at gathering spots ( the local mercantile in my hometown). Thank you for sharing!

Loved how the two ladies jumped from one topic to another. Thanks, Dwina, for allowing us to eavesdrop in on their conversation!

Patti, I am so glad you had a good giggle. These conversations are particular to small towns, villages and rural communities. ***

Kristy, I would be delighted if you read this to the seniors and I think they will enjoy them. I used to write them for a special radio station for the blind in Florida. At that time, I recorded them with an actress. We were volunteers. Apart from the comedy we also read the news to them.

Thank you. That was a lovely compliment comparing the work to shades of Alan Bennett. Absolutely loved his work.
