I am thrilled to announce that Schiffer Red Feather Publishing are publishing my new collection of Vedic Tarot Cards. I have spent years of travel and meeting masters and yoginis in the study of history, mythology, ancestral knowledge, and spirituality both East and West, seeing remarkable similarities in the concepts and this is a project that pulls them together. My interest in playing cards and then Tarot cards began in my birthplace in Ireland, a magical world in itself, and has been a life-long journey of discovery ever since. I have added the mysteries and knowledge of some of the ancient alphabets of the world into the deck. Besides being a method of divination, it is designed to also be a guide on a journey of self-discovery and a gateway to knowledge, not necessarily written anywhere.
The deck comes with an exclusive book that explores the sources of shamanic and interesting divinations, through the different East-West traditions, such as Divine Knowledge by the Rishis through the Sanskrit poetry of the Vedas, Irish Ogham Tree Alphabet, the Hebrew Alphabet and Qabbalah. Being around music and musicians all my life, it also looks at the different musical notes and instruments that affect the chakras of the body and take us on emotional journeys.
There is a unique method of interlocking the cards to create a small or large mandala that can be used for study or reading of the cards, looking at the Karmic cause and effect of situations. This is included in the accompanying book. This method of reading may be used with any deck of cards. The book itself can be used just for study of the special links between East and West and also anywhere in between. Every country, every nation, has its spiritual history within the language and nature of that territory.
For the first 50 orders in each territory of USA, UK, EU, I have signed an original fine art Giclée print of Shiva, Parvati, and Ganesha. This card is designed as a Charm for Love, an Aid for Hope and for the Removal or Conquering of Obstacles that may be upon one’s life-path. It only applies to those orders from the official sites listed on the official page.
It is my intention to pass on some of these teachings if anyone is interested in exploring this gathered knowledge. It has been a joy and revelation for me. There are three extra cards added to the Major Arcana. They do not change the numeration of the original cards. Each is related to Zero (0). One card is a meditation card. The other two extra cards relate to what was known as The Fool, (that I call: The 1st Traveller), one being the Arbor Vitae or Tree of Life and the other Oogenesis that is the seed or Orphic Egg of Life relating to incarnation and re-incarnation. There is detailed information on both of these. All other cards are recognizable to the Tarot we know. The deck has 81 cards, that completes as a number 9.
In Indian numerology, the number 9 means completion but not finality. It is the number of Infinity. Multiply 9 by any other number and the end result will always add to 9. It is a curiosity in mathematics and considered to be a lucky number in many cultures and within spiritual groups all over the world.
Pre ordered! These sound fascinating 💫
Congratulations Dwina, how exciting to see all your incredible work come to fruition. Much love xx
