Thank you - I thoroughly enjoyed the preparatory trip through all those empresses - especially the terrifying Wu Zetian! Am curious (probably because it relates to a bunch of current reading) to know a little more about the musical pitches assigned?

Thank you Gabriel. The Empresses were sometimes ruthless and I had others, Roman and Greek that I omitted, who were equally ruthless. The Empress Josephine was not in the least unkind and I believe she read the Tarot for Napoleon! The musical notes and instruments are the sounds that stimulate or soothe the chakras in the body and affect the rising of the Kundalini in Yogic practices... a bit like snake charming!

Wow! Each card has so much detailed information, how interesting to hear about the empresses, the qualities of Saraswati and all the background related to it.

Some of those empresses were far too frightening 💚🎵

...minor matter, 1936, George...

George VI became King in December 1936 upon the abdication of his brother, you are right. I had said he took the Throne then but I suppose the ceremony may have been later, so I edited my entry to say he became King rather than officially took the throne. Thank you for this. Dwina ***

how strange... I may need to contact Substack because they may have put up a previous draft that was not corrected and not even posted... thank you, Philip. I will check with my friend.

Yes. I find substack pretty disconcerting.

It was because I did not notice when I corrected that it has to be posted to email too so the corrections should have happened now. Still trying to deal with all the tech stuff! Lol

I found myself fully immersed in this wonderful recount of past empresses and their qualities, followed by the meaning of the tarot card. All of this is tied together seamlessly. 💫

Thank you Trudi. Showing different sides of powerful Empresses. I was surprised myself when I did the research. I am working on the 10 of Swords at the moment, a card feared by many readers in Tarot, but it was one of the cards I really enjoyed illustrating and wanted to show a different version.***

Ooh that’s interesting! It used to terrify me, too. I’m okay with it now. I see it’s worth!

They were a tad worse than bullies! I only found them when I searched for the Empress who discovered silk and then wondered how to prevent the cruelty in the making of silk. My Irish mother always said that a silk head-scarf would make your hair shine and a silk scarf around your throat would prevent sore throats! Not even sure she even had a silk scarf!

Some of them were bit too boisterous! Ruling by fear is not a good idea. Hope history does not repeat itself! X
